Farewell For Now

The match is over and I must step off the pitch. This blog has been a pleasure to have but now it is all over. These past couple weeks I really enjoyed writing about some of my favorite players and sharing my thoughts. Soccer has always been something positive in my life and I am glad I had the opportunity to do this.

Legends

Here we have two legends. My favorite two goal keepers. Gigi Buffon on the left who plays for Italy's national team and Juventus. On the right we have Iker Casillas who used to play for Real Madrid but now plays for Porto. He also plays for Spain's national team. This picture was taken during a FIFA World Cup.

The FIFA FIFPro World XI assembles on stage during the FIFA Ballon d'Or Gala 2015 at the Kongresshaus on January 11, 2016 in Zurich, Switzerland  Today the Ballon d'Or ceremony took place. This ceremony gives awards to the best male players in the world. Here is the best team in 2015 . Each player represents their own team and country. Each player represents a spot on the field. Lionel Messi won the Ballon d'Or, that marked him as the best player of 2015. That is his fifth Ballon. (Starting from left to right) We have Thiago Silva who is a defender, Marcelo Vieira who is a defender, Sergio Ramos who is defender, Dani Alves who is a defender, Andres Iniesta who is midfielder. Starting the second row (left to right) We have Luka Modric who is a midfielder, Paul Pogba who is a midfielder, Neymar who is a forward, Lionel Messi who is a forward and lastly Cristian Ronaldo who is a forward. But all together they represent great skill and it would be a dream to see all these players play on one team together. That team would be unstoppable.
-Ronaldo, Ramos, Modric and Marcelo play for Real Madrid.
-Neymar, Alves and Iniesta play for FC Barcelona.
-FC Barcelona and Real Madrid are top in La Liga so it is not a surprise to see those teams well represented.

Zinedine Zidane - Liberated from Benitez!!

Today is an amazing day! It has been announced that Zinedine Zidane will now be coaching my favorite team, Real Madrid. Rafael Benitez was a horrible coach for my team. He slowly was ruining the team and making countless mistakes. Zidane is a retired French player. He has played for Real Madrid before. He is perfect and a great fit for this team. Zidane has history with Real and experience with coaching this club. Benitez has only been with Real for 7 months and the club fired him today. I was so happy to hear this news! I still miss Carlo Ancelotti who coached before Benitez. This team is sure to be move up in standings with Zidane as coach. We are third in La Liga at the moment but with Zidane I see us as number one. I am so excited for this turn around.

Yaya Touré

Yaya is from the Ivory Coast. He is a midfielder and plays for Manchester City. Yaya used to play for FC Barcelona and was center back at that time. He has been voted African Footballer of the Year for many consecutive years. At the age of 18 he attracted attention from European leagues and gained entry. He is captain of the Ivory Coast's national team. Yaya caught my attention this week with his goal against Arsenal. It was a clean and strong goal.

Marta Vieira da Silva

Marta is a Brazilian soccer player and she plays for their national team. She is a forward. She won FIFA World Player of the year as she has scored 15 goals in the tournament. She holds the record for most goals at FIFA World Cup tournaments. People call her the female Pele ( an amazing male soccer player from Brazil). She holds an international career and even played in the United States for Los Angeles Sol.
